Russia can oblige employees working abroad to pay taxes at home

MOSCOW, Jul 26 (PRIME) -- The Finance Ministry has readied a bill stipulating that the employees of Russian companies working abroad should pay taxes in Russia, according to a statement seen by PRIME on Tuesday.

The bill also extended applicability of out of court settlement of tax disputes on property claims, introduced electronic banking guarantees for refunds of value-added tax (VAT) and the excise duties.

The Finance Ministry also suggested extending the authority of the Federal Tax Service in its relations with the largest taxpayers, in particular, to define the criteria of listing of such taxpayers.

The ministry suggested prolonging the rule, under which 3% of the profit tax are allocated to the federal budget until 2030. The current profit tax amounts to 20%, of which 3% is sent to the federal budget and 17% to the regions. From 2024, the federal budget was to receive 2%.
